Play for a Cause
Play4Good Foundation turns everyday activities into acts of giving. Sport, games, schools, churches, and workplaces all raising funds for 100+ vetted South African charities. The power is in the accumulation. Thousands of small micro-donations made through activities people already love, adding up to real, meaningful impact. Our goal is to raise R30 million per year and distribute every rand to organisations doing incredible work across South Africa.
We have seen people running incredible organisations in South Africa. Feeding children. Educating teenagers with nothing. Caring for communities that have been forgotten. And watching those same organisations fight every single month just to keep the lights on.
Not because the work isn't good enough. Because the funding is broken. CSI budgets get cut. Grants disappear. Donors move on. And the charities carrying the weight of this country's most vulnerable people are left sending proposals into silence.
So we built a giving system that doesn't depend on big donors or government budgets. A system where thousands of ordinary South Africans, doing the things they already love, each contribute a small amount every month.
Every channel works the same way. A small micro-donation attached to an activity people already do. No pressure. No campaigns. One monthly EFT or a direct donation after your game, and a quarterly impact report.
Players challenge each other, play their round, and donate directly after the game.

Play4Good Foundation is a registered South African Non-Profit Organisation, NPO number 326-124, established with a single purpose: to raise funds for 100+ vetted, registered South African charities through everyday activities that people already love.
Instead of asking people to donate, we attach a small micro-donation to something they are already doing: playing sport, competing at work, hosting a games evening, or running a fun day at school. The giving happens naturally, without pressure or campaigns.
Our goal: R30 million per year, raised through thousands of small contributions made through everyday activities, and distributed across our pool of charities to assist them in doing the incredible work they do. Every channel feeds the same pool. Every rand reaches people who need it.
Contact us: 078 920 3919 | info@play4good.org
Every rand is distributed to independently verified, NPO-registered South African organisations working across education, child welfare, food security, health, conservation, community development, and more.
Charities are welcome to apply to become a Play4Good beneficiary. If your organisation is a registered South African NPO doing meaningful work on the ground, we would love to hear from you. Email us at info@play4good.org with your organisation name, what you do, and why you believe you deserve to be part of Play4Good.
Every organisation holds valid NPO registration, passes our vetting process, and receives monthly distributions with full reporting. Schools and organisations are welcome to nominate a charity for consideration.
Donate immediately after your game or event, or make a monthly transfer at the end of each month.
Bank confirmation letter available on request.
Donate immediately after your game via card payment or SnapScan. All donations go directly to our pool of 100+ vetted charities.
Tax certificates available for donations over R1,000. Email info@play4good.org with proof of payment.
Whether you are a school, a club, a church, or a company, Play4Good works for you.
Once a month, learners bring R5 or any amount, choose an activity they enjoy, and spend an hour playing for good. No campaigns, no sponsorship forms and no pressure on parents.
Once a month your school holds a Play4Good Day. Learners bring R5 or any amount, choose any activity they enjoy, and spend 30 minutes to 2 hours playing for good. The school decides the day, the activity, and the format.
Our goal for the first month of the school channel is to raise R500,000, enabling us to hand over a R100,000 cheque to each of 5 different charities. Your school will be part of making that happen.
A Play4Good Day is more than a fun activity. It is one of the most powerful lessons a child can learn. That they have the ability to make a difference, right now, with whatever they have.
Most children grow up hearing about charities and causes. Play4Good lets them experience giving personally. When a child contributes R5 and then sees the quarterly report showing what that collective giving achieved, something shifts.
They stop seeing giving as something adults do. They start seeing it as something they can do too.
Play4Good connects learners to the reality that not every child in South Africa has what they have. That awareness, experienced through a fun and positive activity rather than a lecture, builds genuine empathy.
Children who grow up giving grow up caring. And caring changes everything.
When every learner in a class contributes R5, and every class in a school does the same, and every school in a city joins in, the numbers become extraordinary.
Play4Good teaches children the power of collective action. That small things, done together, add up to something much bigger than any one person could achieve alone.
Play4Good Day is one of the best days of the month. Learners look forward to it. They choose the activity, they play hard, they laugh. And at the end of it, they know their fun meant something.
That is a lesson that stays with a child for life. That joy and generosity are not opposites. They belong together.
South Africa needs young people who feel personally responsible for the country they are inheriting. Play4Good builds that sense of responsibility early, in a way that feels natural rather than forced.
A child who gives monthly from the age of seven does not stop when they grow up. They carry it with them.
Every quarter, learners receive a report showing exactly where their contributions went. Which charities benefited. How many families were reached. What changed because of what they did.
That is not a theory. That is proof. And children who see proof of their own impact become adults who believe in theirs.
Donate your learners collected contributions right here by card, SnapScan, or bank transfer.
Staff challenges, games at work and sales competitions all connected to giving. One monthly EFT, full compliance reporting and Section 18A receipts.
Most companies write a CSI cheque at year end. A board signs off on it, it goes to a charity, and nobody inside the business feels it. The staff who worked hard all year have no connection to the giving that happened in their name.
Play4Good changes that completely. Instead of a once-a-year cheque, your CSI budget becomes a living programme that runs through your organisation every single month. Staff do not just hear about your CSI commitment. They are your CSI commitment.
Every challenge completed, every target hit and every game played triggers a donation. Staff feel the giving because they created it. That connection changes company culture in a way that a cheque never can.
When employees are directly connected to their company's giving, engagement goes up, motivation improves, and people feel proud of where they work. Play4Good gives every staff member a personal stake in the company's social impact.
Link your monthly sales targets to giving. Every time a sales rep hits a milestone, a pre-agreed donation fires. Teams compete to hit targets knowing that every number on the board has a real-world consequence beyond the business.
Sales culture changes when winning also means giving. Your team pushes harder and feels better doing it.
Attach micro-donations to your wellness programme. Every 10,000 steps, every gym session and every healthy activity your staff complete triggers a donation to Play4Good.
Staff get healthier, feel motivated and give back at the same time. Three wins from one programme. Wellness engagement goes up because there is now a purpose beyond personal health.
Once a month your team plays a Play4Good game together. A quiz, a relay, a scavenger hunt or a creative challenge. Entry is R20 to R50 per person and the energy in the room is unlike anything a standard team-building session creates.
People look forward to it. They talk about it. And they know their fun is funding something real.
Beyond CSI participation, Play4Good welcomes corporate investors who want to help build and scale the organisation itself. Your investment directly funds our ability to reach more schools, more clubs, more churches, and more companies across South Africa.
Corporate investment into Play4Good Foundation directly funds our operational capacity to grow all eight giving channels across South Africa.
It pays for outreach to schools, clubs, churches, and companies. It funds the vetting and onboarding of new charities. It enables us to produce quarterly impact reports, run charity visit events, and build the Play4Good community.
Every rand invested into Play4Good multiplies into giving. The bigger we grow, the more charities benefit.
Brand Association. Your company is recognised as a founding corporate investor in Play4Good Foundation, featured on our website, communications, and all quarterly impact reports.
Impact Reporting. Full quarterly reports showing exactly where the funds went, which charities benefited, and what difference your investment made across South Africa.

Play4Good is at the beginning of something significant. The model works. The channels are live. The charities are vetted and ready.
What we need now is the operational capacity to scale. To reach every school in South Africa. To activate every golf club. To bring every church congregation into the giving movement.
Our goal is R30 million raised per year for South African charities. With the right corporate partners behind us, that number is not a ceiling. It is a starting point.

Monthly Play4Good events that bring congregations together, building fellowship while raising funds for those who need it most.
Churches are the most natural giving communities in South Africa. Generosity, compassion, and caring for others are not add-ons to what a church does. They are the foundation of it.
Play4Good gives your congregation a structured, fun, and tangible way to live that generosity every month. Not through a collection plate. Through an activity that brings people together, creates fellowship, and generates real impact for South African charities at the same time.
Your congregation does not just hear about people being helped. They become the people doing the helping. That is a powerful thing to experience as a community.
Run a Play4Good event once a month. Collect contributions from participants. Make one EFT to Play4Good. That is the full commitment. We handle everything else.
Most churches already give. Play4Good simply makes that giving visible, communal, and connected to something your congregation can see and measure. When people see the impact of their collective generosity, faith in what is possible grows alongside it.
Giving is not just a value in most faith communities. It is a practice. Play4Good gives your congregation a structured monthly giving practice that is active, participatory, and joyful rather than passive.
When giving becomes something you do together every month, it becomes part of who you are as a community.
Play4Good events bring your congregation together in a way that goes beyond a Sunday service. A quiz night, a games evening or a fun day brings all ages and all life stages together around something that matters.
Fellowship deepens when people do things together. Play4Good gives your congregation something to do together every single month.
Every quarter your congregation receives a full impact report showing which charities their giving reached and what changed because of it. Real numbers. Real lives. Real impact.
When your congregation can see what their giving achieved, generosity grows. People give more when they know it is making a difference.
There is no prescribed format for a Play4Good church event. Your church knows its congregation better than anyone. Choose whatever brings your people together and makes them smile.
Transfer your congregation contributions right here by card, SnapScan, or bank transfer.
Challenge a friend, play your round, and donate directly after the game. Every match funds the charities that need it most. Even when you lose, you win because you made a difference.
Golf and padel players are already competitive by nature. They love the game, love the rivalry, and love the feeling of walking off the course or court knowing they played well. Play4Good adds one more reason to love it.
Every round becomes more than a score. Every challenge becomes more than bragging rights. The same handicap, the same partners, the same courts. Now every game has a consequence that reaches far beyond the 18th hole or the final point.
And here is the thing nobody tells you about giving through play. It makes the game more fun. The stakes feel real. The rivalry feels meaningful. And walking off knowing you gave back to South Africa, through nothing more than a game you love, feels extraordinary.
Play4Good players tell us the same thing. The game feels different when it means something. Here is what changes.
Challenge a friend or playing partner before your round or match.
Set your stakes at R50, R100, R200, or whatever you agree. Play your game. The loser donates directly to Play4Good right after via card, SnapScan, or EFT.
Works for golf, padel, tennis, squash, or any competitive sport. No admin, no fuss. Just settle up on the spot.
Even when you lose, you win because you made a difference.
Set yourself a personal giving target tied to your game.
Donate R10 per bogey, R20 per birdie, R5 per double fault, or R1 per point lost. The worse you play, the more you give. And the better you feel about it.
Settle up immediately after your game with a quick card payment or SnapScan.
Challenge your playing partners to match your pledge and watch the giving multiply.
Make Play4Good your club's official charity of choice.
Clubs can run their own competitions at golf days, club days, and social rounds, then transfer the collected funds to Play4Good as a single monthly EFT.
Play4Good becomes the giving engine behind every monthly medal, every club championship, and every social round.
Your members give without thinking about it. Every quarter they receive a full impact report.
Snap a photo or short video of your round, your challenge, or your donation moment.
Share it on social media and tag @play4goodfoundation. Show the world how you played for a good cause.
Challenge your playing partner, pledge per shot, or set your own stakes. Every round can fund a cause.
Pay your challenge donation right here by card, SnapScan, or EFT. Every rand goes straight to charity.
Friends, family, neighbours. Any gathering becomes a giving event when you Play4Good. Fun, competitive, and every entry or lost game goes straight to charity. Even when you lose, you win because you made a difference.
People have been gathering around games for thousands of years. Games evenings bring out the best in people. The laughter, the competitiveness, the stories, the moments. Play4Good simply adds one more layer to all of that. The gathering now has a purpose that goes beyond the evening itself.
There is no simpler way to raise money for charity than to host an evening your friends and family already want to come to. No sponsorship forms. No awkward asks. Just an evening people pay to attend because they genuinely want to be there, and every rand goes straight to a vetted South African charity.
Games evenings also grow. The first one might be ten people around your dining room table. Six months later it is forty people in a venue and people are already asking when the next one is.
Beyond the giving, hosts tell us that running a Play4Good games evening is one of the most rewarding things they do. Here is why.
Friends and family getting together for a fun evening of games where every entry donation goes to charity. Guests can donate directly on the night via card or SnapScan, or the host collects the entry fees and makes a single EFT. No sponsorship forms, no prize tables. Just a great evening with a great cause.
Some hosts run a Play4Good games evening once a year. Others make it a monthly neighbourhood event. Either way, guests donate directly on the night via card or SnapScan, or the host makes a single EFT. Simple.
Transfer your games evening entry donations right here by card, SnapScan, or bank transfer.
Play4Good is growing. We are looking for companies who want to do more than write a cheque at year end. We want partners who believe in what we are building and want to be part of it every month.
Most CSI programmes happen once a year and nobody inside the company feels them. Play4Good is different. It runs every month, through activities your staff already enjoy, and every quarter your team sees exactly where the money went and what it did.
Your investment into Play4Good goes directly into our ability to grow. It funds outreach to schools, clubs, churches, and companies. It pays for charity vetting, onboarding, and the quarterly impact reporting that keeps everyone accountable.
The more we grow, the more charities we can support. Every rand you invest multiplies into giving across South Africa.
You are not funding a campaign. You are funding the engine that makes the whole thing run.
Your name on the story. Founding partners are recognised on our website, in our communications, and in every quarterly impact report we publish.
Full impact reporting. Every quarter you receive a report showing exactly where the funds went and what changed because of them.
B-BBEE contribution. Investment into a registered NPO contributes to your Socio-Economic Development scorecard with full documentation.
Staff who feel it. Invite your team into Play4Good channels, charity visits, and the moments that make giving real rather than corporate.
First mover advantage. The companies who come in early shape what Play4Good becomes. That matters more than most people think.
Play4Good is at the start of something. The model works. The channels are live. The charities are vetted and ready to receive.
What we need now is the capacity to scale. To get into every school. To activate every golf club. To reach every congregation and every corporate team in South Africa.

Know an organisation doing incredible work in South Africa that deserves more support? Nominate them to become a Play4Good beneficiary.
We accept nominations from individuals, schools, companies, and community members. Every nomination is reviewed through our formal vetting process. We look at NPO registration, governance, track record, and the quality of the work they do on the ground.
If the charity passes vetting, they join our pool and start receiving monthly distributions from every channel across South Africa.
Email us at info@play4good.org with the organisation name, what they do, and why you believe they deserve to be part of Play4Good.
One of the most powerful things you can do for Play4Good right now is simply tell people about it. Share our story on social media. Tag a school principal, a golf club, a church, or a company you think should be involved.
Post about your Play4Good game, your donation moment, or the charity your contribution supported. Every post reaches people we have not met yet.

Race a friend, chase a personal goal, or pledge per kilometre. However you move, make it count for good.
South Africans run and cycle alone, in pairs, in clubs, and at 5am before work. Together they cover millions of kilometres every single week, almost all of it just for themselves. Play4Good turns that same effort into funding for the causes that need it most. No extra time, no separate fundraiser, no admin. Just the run or ride you were already going to do, with a small stake attached to it.
A single parkrun between friends can fund a school lunch. A month of training can help cover a shelter's electricity bill. It adds up fast, and it costs you nothing you weren't already giving to the road.
Race a friend, chase a personal goal, or pledge per kilometre. However you move, make it count.
Anyone can start a fundraiser for a Play4Good cause — a golf challenge, a run, a school drive, a birthday wish. Share your link, track progress live, and every rand flows straight to our vetted South African charities.
